Leaders and Loyalty

Leaders must be Loyal

Leaders must be loyal to themselves, their mission, and their team. Loyalty can be defined as a devotion and faithfulness to a group, organization, or idea. Leadership is dependent on the mission or goal. Without that, there is no need for people to come together to make it happen. A Team must know that their leader is fully devoted and dedicated to the cause, if not they will be unwilling to invest themselves fully. Teams also want leaders to be loyal to them and not just move on to the next opportunity or team when it comes around. Organizations look for loyal leaders that believe in the entities vision and will be a long-term asset. Loyal leaders were once loyal followers. This is crucial since it is almost impossible to lead if you have never been lead.
